FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WE HAVE ANSWERS. CALL, TEXT OR VIEW BELOW

What types of oil do you use?

We only use semi and full-synthetic oils, we don’t carry conventional. Most vehicles manufactured in the last decade had their manufacture recommendations updated to synthetic oil and new cars are all required to use synthetic, and space being limited we decided not to carry non-synthetic oil.

What is a mobile oil change?

Wherever you are is where we can do your oil change. There are some limitations, like we can’t do an oil change in a parking garage, but your home or work is what our system was designed for. That way this annoying chore doesn’t have to interrupt your day.

Are you cheaper than other options?

Out pricing is pretty much in the middle of all the options you have, cheaper than some, more expensive than others. Generally speaking, if they have a nice waiting room, it’s expensive. If the waiting room is dirty and looks like a mechanic shop, it’s going to be cheaper. Our waiting room is your home or office, so ours is for sure the best.

Are you insured?

Yes, of course. We have commercial vehicle insurance and garage keepers insurance.

Why should I choose Onsite Lube Express for my oil change?

Onsite Lube Express is by far the best choice. The convenience of us coming to you, scheduling online and competitive pricing are all reasons we think it’s an obvious choice.

What areas do you serve?

Right now we only cover Wichita, but we plan to expand soon. We are only limited by the amount of vans we can outfit and technicians that meat our standards.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Scheduling online is the easiest way. Click the schedule now button, fill in the information and pick a time, that’s all it takes!

Do I need to be present during the oil change?

No, you do not. We just need a way to get the keys to your vehicle and we’ll get it done and let you know when it’s complete.

How long does an oil change take?

Not more than 30 minutes, but our technicians average around 15 minutes to perform all the services of our full service oil change including taking pictures of the replaced drain plug, replaced oil filter and any issues they see.

What payment methods do you accept?

We don’t want our technicians to be targets of robbery, so we do not accept cash or checks in person. When you schedule your appointment our secure payment system will take your payment information, but you won’t be charged until the service is completed.

What if I have additional services or repairs needed for my vehicle?

In many cases we’ll have what is needed in our van, but if you need a service we offer and we don’t have what’s needed with us we’ll likely reschedule finish those things.

Do you do other repairs?

We only do preventative maintenance, not major repairs. In the future we plan to start offering brake pad and rotor replacement and coolant fluid exchange, but for now we are going to keep it simple.  We do know some good mobile mechanics we can refer depending on the repair.

Can I change my appointment or cancel it?

Yes, absolutely. When you schedule you’ll get an email confirmation that will have a reschedule link included for your convenience.

Do you offer any loyalty or discount programs?

We do! We also offer volume discounts, so if you have 2 cars at home we can service at the same time you’ll receive a discount!  Our technicians will add the discount automatically when they have more than one vehicle at a location. We also send out coupon codes to existing customers in our newsletter.

What happens in case of bad weather?

We are prepared for most situations, but let’s face it, Kansas weather is wild. In some cases we’ll have to reschedule. If that is the case we’ll reach out and get your on the calendar as a top priority, even after hours if needed.

Is your service available for both personal and commercial vehicles?

Yes, we service personal and commercial vehicles, however, the scheduling link is only for personal vehicles. Fleets need to reach out for custom pricing.

What type of oil should I choose for my vehicle?

Difference manufacturers recommend different products, but non of them will tell you not to use full-synthetic. It’s the longest lasting and is manufactured to the highest standards.  As a bonus, you can typically go longer between oil changes if you’re also using a high quality oil filter, like the ones we use.

Why do you say you have the best technicians?

Because we do! Because we are a mobile service we need the most qualified and most trustworthy technicians, so that’s who we hire. Our technicians act like owners because they get paid like owners, typically making double or triple what other quick lubes pay. Their comfort and job satisfaction is as important as customer satisfaction.
